Its not all about being first place in every leg. However it is important to have a strong base and be under the top 10 in each leg to successfully win the Global Champions tour. Christian Ahlmann being third in Miami and fifth in Hamburg makes him the current leader of the tour. His aim is to win the Global Champions Tour and therefore brings his best horses around the globe such as Codex One.

Now after Madrid still being first and having a lead of 64 points Ahlmann can and may have a rest with his horses, which would be good until Cannes and Monaco.
