Once again a thrilling tournament at the Grand Palais. Incredibly difficult parkour in the grand prix and great riding from several competitors over this breathtaking weekend. Only three competitors were able to overcome the obstacles with no faults in the big Hermes Grand Prix. Some incredible new talents got there time to shine on this incredible venue and were able to attract new visitors.

SIMON DELESTRE!!!

Several riders had difficulties during the Hermes Grand Prix. Especially unlucky however was Henrick von Eckermann from Sweden, his right stirrup snapped while landing causing him to dismount of the horse and to get a good feel of the fresh french sand. However he wasnt the only one who had difficulties with this extremely difficult 5* parkour. To be exact only three riders were able to complete the parkour with out any faults. This includes Bertram Allen with Molly Mallone being the first to be in the jump off, Penelope Leprevost and Vagabond de la Pomme and last but not least Edwina Tops-Alexander. Well, in the ever so difficult jump off Edwina was the fastest with Penelope Leprevost close second, while Bertram Allens time would have been enough to win however he grabbed one rail down during the obstacles.

Interesting and exciting to watch during the Saut Hermes three day event was the CSIU-25, we were able to see the son of Michael Whitaker, Jack Whitaker compete during the tournament but he couldn't show his best results over the weekend. Surprisingly Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi and Evelina Tovek achieved the same time of 40.44 seconds and showed some high class riding.

Overall all riders were very happy to compete at the Saut Hermes 2017. We saw a family of three generations compete, the Whitaker family. And saw several very difficult but rideable parkours over this three day weekend.
